New Brunswick - THIS IS NEW BRUNSWICK by Jessie
Lawson and Jean Sweet. Published May 1951. 202 pages. First edition. A
detailed tour of New Brunswick by automobile. A most interesting
book for one who wants to become acquainted with New Brunswick in 1951.
A really great addition to the New Brunswick section of your library
shelf. Also could be helpful for vistors making their first visit to
NB. Although routes have changed, the out of the way places are
still as enjoyable. Hard cover. Dust jacket is in poor condition. The
name
"H. May Bartlett, January 1951, Bartlett Mills, N.B."
is written in the book. Interior of book is in very good

Our New Brunswick Story
by
Jessie I. Lawson and Jean MacCallum Sweet. New Brunswick School Text
Book. 330 pages. Used in the elementary schools 1950s and 1960s.
Excellent history of the province. In the days of the Indians, The
coming of the white men, The French Regime, 1713-1763 English or
French, 1763-1867 British Rule, Since Confederation. Appendix lists
Lieutenant Governors of New Brunswick 1786 to 1945 and Premiers. An
extremely enjoyable book to read and one that will probably be
remembered by Grade 5 students of NB who used it in the classroom. In
my opinion the “BEST” school history for the grade 5
& 6 student level or adults interested in reading the ‘basic’
history of New Brunswick. An excellent source for home schooling. Book 301. $39.95 Canadian plus
shipping of $10.00 within North America.
