McMillan - Fenton: Archibald McMillan

a boat and shipbuilder. He supervised the building of a ship for James
Couper at the yard of Owens and Lawton of Saint John in 1824. He
went to Australia in 1833 with his wife Janet Fenton. Seeking

Elkins - Bateman - Maher: John
Elkins was
born in Ireland and he married Sarah Bateman on February 16, 1847 in
New
Brunswick with witnesses Edward and Leddy Bateman. This Roman
Catholic
marriage was performed by Fr. Andrew Barron and was registered in Holy
Family Church in Bathurst where three (Mary Anne, Elizabeth, and
Margaret)
of their 8 daughters also had their Baptisms registered. Margaret
Bateman
Elkins married Dennis Maher on February 28, 1870 and Margaret's Father,
John Elkins, lived with Dennis & Margaret after his wife's death
which
occurred between the 1891 census and the 1901 census. On November 23,
1907,
John Elkins died tragically in Norton. I'd like to find out where Sarah
(Bateman) and John Elkins are buried. Both John and Sarah were converts
to the Catholic Faith.

Flanagan - Aylward: John Flanagan's son’s death certificate
states
that John Flanagan was born in New Brunswick in 1814. I also know that
John Flanagan married Bridget Aylward and that they had a number of

Wiggins - Briggs - Slocum: I am researching the following

Jacob Wiggins was born April 28, 1797 at Waterborough, New Brunswick.

died August 18, 1859 at Grand Lake, New Brunswick. He married Permassa
Briggs on January 4, 1815 at Waterborough. His parents were Jacob

DeMerchant: We are searching for connections on the surname
DeMerchant.
The name is a English translation of the German surname
Kauffman/Coffman
and has only been in existence since 1805. We are currently looking for
information on John Coffman / DeMerchant's whereabouts prior to
1777
when he was a soldier in the Loyalist Prince of Wales American
Volunteers.
The possibility exists of ties in Pennslyvania or perhaps a displaced
"Hessian"
soldier. Also searching for his wife’s Mary’s maiden name. According to
pension records for Widows of Revolutionary War Soldiers in 1840,
Mary
and John DeMerchant were married in Fredericton in 1792. No records to

Sweet - Lachye - McLeod: Charles Sweet (37), widower,
married
Mary Ann McLeod (24) at St. Martins, New Brunswick on July 2, 1896.
Charles
was born in Saint John and was the son of Jarvis Sweet and Elizabeth
Lachye.
Mary Ann was born at Little Beech and was the daughter of David
and
Sarah McLeod. They had at least two children - Ida Bell
1901-1905,
and an unnamed son (1897-?). They lived in St. Martins until at least
1901.
Mary Ann died in January of 1920 while living at 127 Duke St., Saint
John.
Charles moved to Nauwigewauk by 1930. I am seeking any information on
this
family.

Dykeman -Hatfield: The Loyalist Garret Dykeman, was born
in1741
and died in1813. He was married to Eunice Hatfield, who was born in1746
and died in1808. They had four sons Jacob (Statira Camp), Gilbert

Hartt: I am looking for the names of the New Brunswick
schools
the following Hartt ladies taught at. They lived near Jacksontown, New
Brunswick when growing up. Caroline Hartt was born in 1873 and
came
west to teach in 1903. Phoebe was born in 1877. Florence was born
in 1872, and went to India as a missionary in 1900. Pearl
was
born in1885 and came to Alberta to teach in 1914 and died in child
birth
in 1915. All these Hartt ladies taught school in New Brunswick before

the family of Philip Sullivan and Ann(e) McMennamin from Stanley, Cross

Sullivan,

Bissett - Carvell: Annie Adelaide Bissett Carvell was born
1862
in New Brunswick, Canada and died January 15, 1946 in Kings
County.
She married William Carvell. When the Bissett family property in
Grafton,
New Hampshire was sold in 1935 or 1936, she was living in Clifton
(Royal),
Kings Co., New Brunswick and her signing was witnessed by Perley
Carvell
and Frank Carvell. In 1903 her residence was Boston, Massachusetts and
William E. Carvell’s residence was given as Kingston, New
Brunswick.

Kearns - Keefe: Thomas Kearns was born in the 1830s in
Sussex
and was living in the Seeley's Mill area (Waterford) in 1871 and
listed as age 32 with Blacksmith being his trade. His father Patrick
Kearns
and stepmother Catherine were living with their son Timothy age 25 in
the
same area. His mother Margaret Kief or Keefe was deceased by 1840.

Looshtauk - Bracken: I am seeking passenger lists, stories
and
pictures of the Looshtauk. My mother's grandfather Sylvester Bracken
was
on that ship as a small boy and was the longest living passenger from
that
ship. His father James died and his mother landed with two boys on
Middle
Island. The ship was built in Tynemouth, St. Martins area of Saint John
County.

Royal West India Rangers - Bowmaster - Everett: I am
interested
in locating the records of the disbandment of a Regiment of the Royal
West
India Rangers in Saint John in the early 1800s. Sargeant Henry
Bowmaster
was one of them and his wife was possibly Sarah Everett from England.
They
came from St. Kitts in the West Indies. Any information on this
